Meeting notes and dictation in one app

Everything said, written down

Knows who said what

Your microphone and the call are recorded as separate tracks, so your words are always yours. The other voices are told apart on your computer, and you can name them in a click.

Notes while you talk

A panel beside the call keeps what to ask before the end, follow-ups and decisions, updated every minute. It's hidden from screen sharing.

  • Who owns the analytics fix?Ask
  • When do pricing tests restart?Ask

Notes worth reading

When the call ends: a TL;DR, decisions, action items with owners, and the discussion by topic. Export to Markdown.

Dictate into any app

Hold a key (or fn on a Mac), speak, let go. Your words show as you say them, and fillers and false starts are tidied only when there's something to fix.

The right tone for each app

Casual in chat, formal in email, exact in your editor and terminal. Change any app's style.

  • MailFormal

See how the call went

Who talked and for how long, a timeline of who spoke when, questions asked and the longest monologue. Worked out on your computer.

Search every meeting

Full-text search across every transcript, kept in a local library on your computer.

Nothing joins the call

Works with every call app

Quill records your microphone and your computer's audio, so if you can hear it, Quill can write it down.

On a Mac, Quill notices when a call app starts using your microphone and offers to record, then to stop when the call ends.

Local first

Private by design

Audio stays on your computer

Whisper transcribes on your own hardware, on the GPU on Apple Silicon and on Windows graphics cards. Recordings are kept as compact FLAC files in a folder you choose.

You choose where text goes

Notes, live notes and dictation clean-up use a model you pick: through OpenRouter, only to providers that don't store or train on your data, or with Ollama on your own machine, so nothing leaves it at all.

Keys in your OS keychain

API keys live in the macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager, never in files or logs.

No telemetry

No analytics, no tracking. Besides your model, Quill only downloads speech models and checks for updates once a day. Logs never contain what you said.

Open source

Read every line on GitHub. MIT or Apache-2.0, your choice.

Pay for what you use, not a seat

Quill is free. Notes are written by a model you choose, and you pay that provider directly: about 3 cents an hour of meeting with live notes, or nothing with a local model.
